Create a Trial version, or you will NEVER accomplish great things...

I am more then willing to pay $6 a month, or $10 a month, for something that is "like Roam Research, but better", but I have had toooooo many bad experiences with saas sites that have forced me to pay BEFORE seeing it.

If you are TRULY as good as you say you are, you won't have any problem converting people - Roam doesn't seem to have problems - but since you are forcing payment BEFORE any access whatsoever, and provide NO TRIAL, my guess is you are not anything close to what you claim to be.

Either provide people with the ability to try your software out before subscribing to your service, or you will die a slow (then quick) death.

Hi Robert, thanks for the feedback! We are actually in agreement with you that Amplenote eventually ought to release a free version. Right now, we've stuck to the trial approach because we want to pinpoint which kinds of users are passionate about our offering to be willing to pay.

Incidentally, you don't have to encounter a credit card or payment info to start your trial as long as you sign up via www.amplenote.com. Hope you'll give us a shot!
