(Android app) Add share to Amplenote option
Would allow you to share a link, a file, etc (maybe selected text also). Thanks!

Lucian AdminFor anyone else upvoting on this, I'm leaving our help article on the mobile share sheet workaround: https://www.amplenote.com/help/mobile_share_extension#

Mark CrowleyOnce settled into Amplenote for a few days, I followed a regular flow of wanting to capture some content for later reading/action. Being able to share to and apply classification with as little friction as possible would be a big benefit.

MatjažI'm really surprised, that this is not a priority for mobile application.

JustineThe absence of this feature is really the only thing holding me back from switching to Amplenote. It creates a huge friction for all quick capture stuff. I'm surprised this feature doesn't get more votes! The email solution helps but it's far from ideal.

DrewThe workaround really is not sufficient. I am also stunned this isn't a higher priority. This is keeping this app out of the big leagues.

MagnusIt's pretty astonishing that this is not existing already. I have seen multiple task/notes apps with single devs that have this implemented pretty much from the start.
To clarify, the proposed workaround through email is NOT the same because I don't want to clog up my sent emails in Gmail (and give Google more data). Through the share menu in Android I can send a screenshot I captured, or a link directly from my mobile browser, or a file from an app. Meaning I can do it FROM the app I'm currently using without having to open Amplenote. Using the share menu/sheet in Android is de facto standard in how to quickly send data from one app to another. See as an example how the outstanding single dev project Bundled Notes have this implemented. -

TimoyWe need this more than a graph view!! This should be at least planned! The "email workaround" is completely insufficient: it doesn't take attachments! This app is so closest to being the top choice for project management, if it just had this feature!
Tedious workarounds increase friction, and friction is no good to an idea execution funnel... -

TimoyUse case:
- Someone sends me an image, and I want to take notes on it.
I'd like to be able to:
- "share" the image/attachment to Amplenote and it performs based on options set in settings - one of the 4 current mail-to-note options could be chosen as a default action or chosen with each "share"
I absolutely love how juicy the OCR and image-to-text conversion is with Amplenote and I'd love to get to feel its full power.
Downloading the file, going in to Amplenote, making a new note, then digging for that downloaded file to add as an attachment really adds a lot of friction to the precious creative inspiration.
Craft is already a top choice only available to mac and iOS so Android users are left in the dark here.. -

MarkWhen I am browsing on my mobile device I can share to Notion but not to Amplenote, so I can't replace Notion with Amplenote.

MarkJust wanted to elaborate with an example of desired behavior. I'm in bed looking at my phone or iPad. I am looking at news or blog items in google feed for example. I open an article. Oh I have to save this link in my notes! I want to click "Share" and have an option be AmpleNote. Then AmpleNote should allow me to attach to a note by the tag path, and if no related tag exists, add it on the spot, and if no note exists to attach to, add it on the spot. Done. No need to try to remember to go back and sort it later or remember what you were thinking. Please please please!

Bill AdminSharing straight to the Android mobile app is live as of this week. We will mark this task complete once we've created a help page with screenshots of how to use it, but you should now see an option to share to Amplenote when viewing Android content
