Option to create future daily-jot pages
Oftentimes as I’m planning out scopes and sequences, I’ll want to be adding outlines for future lessons. Could we have an option of creating daily jots pages for the future?
This could tie in with the tickler file concept?

Brian Cohen AdminI believe this should already be possible, if you name a note after a future date with the `daily-jots` tag, yah?

Nick CWouldn't this require the format of the heading to be identical to the current system, with no typos? My concern is that if you're doing it that way, then sorting wouldn't work as intended (as it would sort by alphabetical of the title, or by date of creation rather than date of title?)

VictorI agree w/ what Nick C said. In Roam, to write on a daily notes page for the future you can type /date to show the date picker and pick a future date. Picking future date gives you a tag whose name is formatted for the future date.
While it's possible to hide task and have it show up in the future. There isn't a comparable feature in Ample to the date picker in Roam. -

Lucian Admin@Victor - Future jot creation works well with date calculation aliases. For example in Jots mode [~{tomorrow}] will create a daily jot for the next day under the currently selected tag. Other keywords are supported too, including {jan 17}, {in 10 days}, {2021.01.17} - all of which will expand to Amplenote's date format.
@Nick, the currently preferred way of seeing a sorted list of your daily jots is by viewing them in jots mode (sorting in this panel ignores creation date, such that future jots created using this mechanism will show up where you would expect them too).
Maybe you can create a separate feature suggestion for having a date picker incorporated in the page linking mechanism, to have that idea accumulate its separate share of upvotes and opinions.
