Ability to change text colour on a note or on a task. 5-10 colour options would be enough.

Ironically, you can change text color and highlight color on tables.

So I think should also be implemented on non-tables.

it will be really helpful to have the ability to highlight in different colour or change the text colour. this feature is important for any notetaking application.

I guess rich footnotes or tasks aren't part of regular Markdown either, yet they are supported... so why not this?

We have discovered a way to make this work with markdown, so we're now actively considering this.

I'm thrilled to hear this is a possibility. It is one of those things that I often wish for as I sometimes like to draw attention to different parts of my notes with colors.
