Implement "ready only option by default" on mobile apps to prevent accidental edits
Having this option would prevent from "futzing" with the notes when using the mobile app for those of us that are just reading and don't really want to make any changes. Accidental changes or edits are common when dealing with many things on a mobile device.

Lucian AdminHey there luxetumbra and thank you for your suggestion!
I have marked this as "Not planned", but please reach out if you have any examples of other apps doing this sort of thing, as we're interested in studying design choices made by other developers out there.
Otherwise, since all notes have version histories that can be restored, I don't reckon accidental edits made on mobile pose such a big problem at the moment. -

AllenEvernote and UpNote have this option. While on mobile you have to hit a button to edit the note.
Example:
I keep my notes sorted by last modified. I may look at something , accidently modify it then close it. Later when I look at my list I see the note was modified and not sure what was changed. I would have to restore an old version, delete the original then rename the restored version to what the original was. While not difficult, it's extra steps
