Adding incomplete tracking to habits
The task score and task graph for a particular habit are quite powerful for organization as well as success tracking of an individual habit. It would be helpful though if there was a way identify roadblocks to accomplishing habits via incomplete tracking. Built into some task managers are the ability to query what was the cause of an incomplete habit or task. Might be a nice add on in the [ ] format to add an option to query why a task was not completed the next day or some other time frame at the users discretion with a drop down list determined by the user as roadblocks e.g. high stress, appointments, not eating, not enough sleep, etc. An incomplete status (if dichotomous variable) or attenuation of reps, time, etc. (if ordinal variable) would trigger this at said time frame and then analysis later would allow identification of roadblocks to completing habits. Once the user identified the roadblock it would development of the habit in a way that was more likely to succeed.

Bill AdminAgree with many of the points you've made here, and we are absolutely going to move toward better tracking of past tasks, along with better highlighting of how one is tracking vs. the habits they are trying to build. But since this particular task has quite a few different components that would be hard to completely fulfill, I'm going to leave this one as "not planned."
