Hide subtasks on the calendar task pane.
The calendar task pane is low on space. It would make sense if there was an option to hide child tasks and only show top parent tasks. It would work nicely on the calendar. Seeing the parent task on the calendar jogs your memory of the subtasks that need to get done. And when the parent task gets completed all child tasks get completed as well. I visualize this as an option right on the top of the calendar task pane above the "Task Score, Most Recent, Whatever" selection.
Alternatively, this might also be accomplished by allowing the user to toggle this on and off within the individual tasks with another "!" action. "Hide from Calendar View". This might give the user a bit more control as well. As they are planning a project they can toggle on and off which parent tasks they want to see. Although this may get confused with the more general "hide" action.

Lucian AdminThanks for this request, Ryan! I've marked this as "Not planned", since I don't expect it to be a very popular use case among users. Also, this sort of thing can be achieved in other ways, for example by creating a separate "project-note" for a task with sub-tasks. As long as your parent task is associated to a Task Domain and your project-note isn't, you will only see the former on the Calendar View.

Ryan BeckYou make a good point, Lucian! I've adjusted my workflow to better fit this. Here is what I was trying to do vs. how I solved that problem in case it is useful for anyone else that might find this.
I take a lot of meeting minutes. I created a template in my notes to fit those meeting minutes. I throw tasks on the meeting minutes whenever they come up. I typically tag these minutes notes with todo/work that fits in my calendar domain. I felt like I super charged this note when I put in my template tasks that I always do whenever I'm in a meeting that requires minutes. (1) Send the minutes out via email (2) Transfer tasks to Jira (3) Save notes to google drive. I nested these under "Complete Minutes". This was great but my calendar got flooded with tasks whenever I had several meetings.
I've tagged that parent task. "Complete Minutes [[Note Title]]". Then I !move it to my #work-jots tag. Now the task links back to my note and the other child tasks are there :). Thanks for your help! -

Lucian AdminThat's a very clever and productive use of tasks, Jots and note links. Very cool! Thanks so much for sharing this!
