Improve task completion behavior
Now it is possible to "cross out" a task. Great but, this is an incomplete solution for people coming from other tools such as Roam. To cross out a task now, you have to open the options and then select that option. Too many clicks. Why not have a global setting that enables "cross out" by default when marking a task complete? Also, undoing a completed task is still broken. It either goes back at the bottom of the note (totally out of context) or if crossed out and marked as a task, the text still using the strikethrough font.

weirdI too want this, and for cross-out to be improved a lot in general.
I'd interpreted from a discord convo that this particular ask was already "planned," but maybe not...? -

RichVery useful feature. Use cases: trip list, device deployment checklist, grocery checklist, procedures, etc. Any sorted task list that is frequently reused. Can be a note option and/or user setting.
Action:
Click the checkbox for a list item and the item is crossed-out but remains right where it is in the list. -

RichTo clarify my previous comment, marking a task as complete by clicking or touching the checkbox could result in:
1. The checkbox being filled-in and the text converted to strike-through (current behavior)
2. Then either...
A. The item Is moved to the completed tab (current behavior), or ...
B. STOP, your done. The Item would remain right where it is in the body of the note - thus retaining the order of the list (new behavior)
Boom! You got your classic checklist behavior. Yes, the checklist items would then be full-fledged tasks which is probably not the original idea. But that's a good 'problem' to have, IMO, and can be managed in any case. Similar behavior changes for un-checking completed task items.
Perhaps a note-level attribute defining this optional behavior would do the trick. Maybe this would change the effort level to 'low' and could be knocked-out quickly.
