Sync to filesystem or filesharing tool (say Dropbox) periodically

Here's my use case.
I have pdf of books that I edit often (annotations). I would love for the latest version to live inside amplenote because that's the source of truth. If I add a pdf as an attachment, we are back in email times: newest version is... God knows where. Attachments are so 20th century.
If I could point amplenote to a pdf folder (locally or say on Dropbox) and it would get the latest version from there, all would be good.
