Dismiss single instance of recurring task without changing the others

I want to dismiss recurring task for particular dates, say I have a recurring task of "workout", but it conflicts with another event on a particular day in the future, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to dismiss that single instance of the recurring task without changing the rest of them

Essentially I would like to just be able to skip one occurrence on my calendar without affecting the rest other instances of the recurring tasks.

Say you have a recurring task every day on your calendar, now let's say today is Monday. If I want to skip the task on Wednesday, there's no way to do that.

The dismiss button currently dismisses the next occurrence rather than the selected one in the future. This means I have to create a bunch of separate tasks to achieve the schedule I want if I need to skip a recurring task for a particular day in my upcoming schedule
