Better ways to view note backlinks section
Currently, note backlinks live on the bottom of the note. Users must scroll through the entire note to view them. Backlinks are also not viewable in peek view.
This leads to a problem when writing a note by referring to its backlinks. E.g. : I capture notes from books I'm reading in daily-jots, which becomes backlinks in the note for that book. When I write a review/summary for that book, I have to scroll between the note body and backlinks to reference my jot notes, which slows me down.
A workaround is to open the note in peek view, but this means the main workspace is no longer in the center of the screen. Filtering backlinks is an imperfect solution, since all my backlinks are chronological, rather than sorted by tag.
Two suggestions to address this::
- Separate scrollbars for note body and backlinks section.
- Allow viewing of backlinks in peek viewer.

Lucian AdminHey Colin, this has been on my wishlist for a while too. Separate scrollbars is something the team generally wants to avoid, but I'm positive we can find a solution that feels good. Thanks for the suggestion!

Colin ChanThanks Lucian! Personally I’d love the ability to drag the backlinks section to the peek viewer, or give an option to view it side-by-side with the main note.
