Multiple Windows on Desktop App (Mac)
The new desktop app works great and is faster than the web app, but it suffers from (what for me) is a critical limitation - one can only edit one note at a time (ignoring peek viewer for the moment). I run AN in an app extension in Chrome, which gives me tabs for as many notes as I need. I do want the improved performance of a local app, but I was hoping for a desktop app that would allow me to open multiple notes in separate windows.
Sadly, without multiple windows or even tabs, the desktop app is unusable for me.

Mark Lopez MergedIn Notion, this is Cmd+Click or Cmd+Enter when searching using cmd+p(cmd+o in AmpleNote).
This is very helpful when managing multiple projects. -

Brian Cohen Admin MergedI like this idea a lot -- simple and high leverage. To be clear, is this option expected to be made available through the Quick Open dialog?

Mark Lopez MergedWould be nice if it could be on the quick open dialog.

Mark Lopez MergedOriginally I thought it would be great if it can also be on normal note as well. (even when not on dialog)

The_Badjer MergedWould love to be view multiple notes at a time
Even though Peek Viewer allows you to view more than one note at a time it has a few limitations IMHO. Since it's set up is scrollable where one note is stacked on top of another in a linear view, even though you may have several notes in the viewer (IE 5), you probably can only view 2-3 notes total at a time depending upon screen size
Often I have to analyze things where I am comparing 5 plus notes/ objects at a time. If I were able to view the notes in a spread out fashion like many other apps offer now a days (IE Obsidian, RemNote, etc) this would be great
Would love to be able to view my notes in multiple panes (ideal) or windows. Now that the desktop apps have rolled out would be great to see some of these features become possible
Thanks for considering the FR -

Jeremy BrownMy notes are too long for the Peek Viewer to be useful. I need to view and write within multiple notes pretty often. A workflow I used in Evernote often. Before meetings I would open a number of notes, I.E. A meeting agenda note, a vendor note, and a project note.

Eric LubowI very often work with 2 notes next to each other in the desktop app. While the peek viewer is good, I want to be able to right click to open a note in a new window easily so I can put the notes next to each other in Mac "split screen focus mode". Using multiple windows in the desktop app is clunky and I often revert to the Chrome app where it's easier to open multiple windows (and thus then have the Desktop app open AND the Chrome app open). Sometimes I use the web app and the desktop app. This feels like a lot of hacking around a problem and it would be great if I could use multiple windows more easily natively to the desktop app. The ideal case for me would be to be able to right click on a note in the notes column and then be able to choose tile window right/left/focus similar to pressing and holding the green button in the top left of a Mac window. It would open a new electron window with that note in that focus mode and I'd be able to choose whatever I want for the other window.

Eric LubowAnother use-case is that I often have multiple desktops and won't want to switch the notes/peek viewer setup on one window while I want to work on another project entirely for a short time. So being able to have 2 or 3 windows where I can have different notes open on different desktops would be very useful.
