Multi-select of notes
I can't select or choose notes in your app. It will be good if I can add new tags all to many notes or combine them to one note with multi-select function.

Pablos MergedEspecially when importing a bunch of notes, it would be great to have an easy way to add a tag to all of them. Cmd-Click to select multiple notes & apply tags in the UI would be super helpeful.

Bill Admin MergedHi Pablos, agreed this sounds interesting! Do you have any screenshots or links to apps that you think do a good job with batch tag assignment?

Pablos MergedThere's already a list of Tags on the left pane, so Command-click or Shift-click on a set of notes and then letting me drag them to a Tag would be ideal. GMail is an excellent example of this behavior that you can play with. I think this is really important. Also bulk tag rename & deletion seems important, probably by right-clicking on the tag. Ideally, I'd like all the notes from an import to get a tag automatically so I can easily select the notes I've just imported to work with them.

Pablos MergedGMail is a great example of how to handle multiple select of notes. You can cmd-click multiple notes, shift-click ranges of them to select. You can drag them onto labels, or use menus to add labels or move them to other labels or delete them. This would all be immensely helpful in amplenote. This request can be merged with the "multi-select of notes" request.

R. William MergedI agree. Being able to handle multiple notes at once (such as tagging or moving around) is very helpful. It's really hard when there are many notes that need to have the same tag, but I need to tag them one-by-one (unless I'm missing something on Amplenote).

Erik MergedI agree. I'm thinking of this like the ability to move multiple notes between folders in other apps.

Tyler TullockThis is absolutely needed. The example of how Gmail handles it is perfect and a commonly understood way to work with tags for users so zero learning curve.

Seth Drebitko MergedIt would be nice to be able to bulk select notes in order to change all of their tags at once.

Daniel ClarkIMHO this is best handled by four functions, a way to select lots of items in a row, on desktop usually shift key, MacOS finder does this well; a way to select lots of unconnected items not in a row, usually the command key on MacOS (don't take my word for this oh, I have weird keymappings onto a PC keyboard), a filter function, for selecting notes with same bits of metadata (words matching in title, date entered, etc.), and a search function, for selecting notes with the same words or phrases in the title or body (or attachments if those are also indexed). For the last 2 boolean logic and regexp support are nifty. Again thinking of the finder, although I think the differentiation it makes between metadata search and full search can be kinda unclear sometimes. On Android My Life Organized 4 tickles some neurons as handling this pretty well, although I did not use it a whole lot. But if y'all haven't looked at it worth the $ as their UI manages to pack in a lot of stuff w/o overwhelm.

StefanWe got great tag editing with the feature listed here:
https://amplenote.featureupvote.com/suggestions/95552/need-to-be-able-to-rename-and-reorganize-tags
Unfortunately the one thing you still can't do is *split* tags. This is a common way in which my tag hierarchy evolves -- one tag gets too big and I decide to split it out. To specify which notes should get the new tag or from which the old tag should be removed, I need to be able to multi-select in the note list (e.g. from a search).
So, upvoting this feature and requesting the perhaps implied addition of being able to do tag operations on the multi-selected notes.
Another thing I'd like to be able to do with multi-selected notes is to drag all of them into another note's text, thus creating a link to each. This already works for one note at a time, and I love it. -
