Improve how all day tasks are handled (ie not 1440 minutes)
Currently, the way Amplenote considers a task as an all-day task is when a task begins at 00:00 and duration is set to 1440 minutes.
However, this way of defining an all-day task is logical and illogical at the same time. An all-day task can be used this way (meaning you might have a task that will last 1440 minutes), but it also can be used as a reminder that a task should be done "at some time" today.
So, I recommend, removing the "duration = 1440 minutes" requirement for an all-day task. Instead, if a task does have its date field "filled" but the time field "left empty" is considered as an all-day task. This is how all the other task management platforms handle their all day tasks (Todoist, TickTick, Notion, Outlook, Clickup etc)
By doing it this way, I can still define an all-day task, but then have a duration set for X minutes. So that when I am planning my day, I can drag and drop my task into the calendar and the X minute slot will automatically be created.

David TrappAdditionally, keep in mind that not every day has 1440 minutes. Most commonly you'll encounter days with 1380 and 1500 minutes due to one-hour-worth DST changes, but sometimes there may be other durations (some countries use or used 30-minute or 2-hour DST for example).

RogerOne way of me planning out my week is to say that on Monday and Tuesday I'm going to primarily work on project A, Wednesday I have a bunch of appointments and I'll fill in gaps with various projects, and on Thursday it's project B, and so on.... I'm not really planning to spend all 1440 minutes on the specific project that day, or even all the minutes between 9am and 5pm (inevitably there will be other appointments and some other things will need to be done), but I AM planning to make this project my priority for the day. And I'd expect Amplenote to help me plan out my week this way. Most obviously, I'd expect to see "all day" tasks in a different space than hour by hour events, across the day (I'm used to the way Google and Outlook calendars display them), but I'm sure this could be improved.
