Amplecap: Simplified Article Clip
I would like to be able to clip a simplified article like Evernote. This may be an issue of nuance as I am aware of the excerpts and full page clip but when I used evernotes clipper it is always a simplified clip as I can read, save, process the text later even if the website vanishes.
RIght now, I just copy paste into a new note, but I would love a faster, hotkey option.

Rob FI really need this. I came from Nimbus (and before that, Evernote), and am very used to clipping articles. But AFAICT, Amplecap only does screenshots or very basic text (via highlights). There's no way to get a combination of the text and the images on a page.

@Adam P, I found a nice workaround for now: I use the "Print Friendly & PDF" extension. When I open it on, it gives a nice, simple view of the page (no ads, no garbage from the header and footer, etc). I can then copy that and paste it into a new note. -

CynthiaSI 100% agree with this. I am also moving over from Evernote. One of the biggest reasons I've stayed with EN so long is their web clipper is great. I was surprised that I couldn't capture a simplified or also a non-simplified article like Evernote's clipper. It not helpful at all to have a huge screenshot. I can't even read it. Plus, I can't search in it since it's not text.

bobjones MergedAt the moment Amplecap cannot capture an entire webpage in text format, but only as a screenshot (which is very slow). This makes it very cumbersome. Other providers (such as Evernote, Notion and Nimbus) allow this and it make capturing with these providers a lot easier and quicker.

Kam DvořákAt this time, I use Highlights option only but I would very much like to be able to clip the whole article as readable text, like Evernote, as sometimes a Highlight is not enough.

YX MergedCurrently the web clipper only captures a screenshot of the web page as an image. It would be useful to capture the full article in editable text with simplified content (keeping only the texts and images of the main body of the page and stripping away ads and additional auxiliary columns). This is a standard/default feature of the web clippers for Evernote, OneNote, Joplin, Notion, and MarkDownload.
