Ignore accents when searching
As a french guy, i often use accent when writing,
but searching in Amplenote is not safe for me :
for example i search the word "référence" it won"'t find my note named "réference" because if forget an accent on it. Same for "dégât" and many others.
i come from workflowy wich don't care about accents when searching, and i was very comfortable with it.
In AN i'm always stressed and type several consecutive search "to be sure". quite stressing lol.

Curtis LongI agree completely! I submitted the following to the Founders-Only Supporter Feature Voting list.
2
User-friendly diacritics (accents and umlaut characters) search
The Search feature in all Google products I use (except GCal), Windows Explorer (filenames), and Evernote, return words with the same spelling regardless of diacritics (cafe/café or uber/über, for example.
USE CASE:
1. I capture a webpage or copy a note from someone else with diacritic word or phrase that is misspelled (e.g., Hernan Cortes) or just anglicized to drop the diacritics (fiance) and paste it into Amplenote.
2. Later, I use Amplenote general search for that word/phrase with the correct or original spelling—Hernán Cortés or fiancé—and the note does not appear in my search results.
3. Frustration ensues.
4. I have to search for hernán cortés, hernan cortés, hernán cortes, AND hernan cortes to find all my notes about that person I've been researching.
This problem would go away with "soft" diacritic search. -

Curtis LongThere's a Supporter Voting suggestion for this feature as well: https://www.amplenote.com/suggested_features/74. If it's low effort, now is the time to implement it!
