Default view mode when app is opened
Moderator edit January 2025: let's consider this suggestion for both mobile and desktop.
When you open the app, the last opened view remains by default: for example, if I was in Calendar view and close the app when I'll open then app again it will be opened in Calendar view
This is sometimes annoying because I would like to open the Jots view by default since it is my way to capture everything

Yunior MergedAn option to checkmark your preference of establishing Daily-Jots as your default page when you open the app for the first time that day. This is a feature a available in Obsidian for example, and I consider it very useful, to start your day on with a "blank page" style. Thank you for a great app.

Nic Barnshaw MergedNotion has an option where you can choose which page shows when the app starts. I'd love to see this feature for Amplenote, where you can make it boot from the section of your choice, whether it be Jots, Notes, Tasks, or Calendar.
For my personal use-case i would set it so that i see the Tasks section on startup. I've set it up so that the Amplenote app starts automatically when Windows boots up, it would be so awesome if my Tasks list is right there in front me automatically every day, all automatically sorted with the awesome Task Score! I have ADHD and i want that in front of my face on a daily basis. I NEED it.
I added an image of Notion's setting for reference, but even something as simple as right clicking on one of the section headings (Jots, Notes, Tasks, Calendar) and clicking something that says "Show on startup" or "Make default startup page" (with a checkbox next to it) would be enough.
Thanks! -
