Allow renaming of attachment
My scanner generates a very generic name based on the date and time. I want the ability to rename a file without having to download and reupload

Lucian AdminMarked as "not planned" based on what I understand the feature is about (eg setting the name of an uploaded file to a specific thing). That is because we probably will not pursue "file management" features anytime soon (renaming a file before uploading it is possible too, unless you're using some sort of automation?).

Shaheed FazalOK. Just to add more context of what I would like to be able to do if you ever get round to this. As I user I want to be able to use the email function of my scanner to send a file into Amplenote. When the file lands in Amplenote, I want to be able to rename it because the file name created by the scanner is a sequence that has no relation to the file that I have just sent. This will be of benefit to me as it will save me having the extra step of downloading the file, renaming it and then reuploading it. NB: This is something that Evernote allows.

Lucian AdminShaheed - thank you for the extra clarification. It sounds like indeed you are using an automation, which I thought was less common. I changed the status of your request!

Derek ThurberJust seconding this request with a similar, but slightly different use case. I love the ability to send emails to Amplenote to create a task, and I love that the attachments from the email are included, but the names from those attachments are usually nonsense names, so I need to be able to edit the names for them to be usable within the note. Right now, I have to (1) forward the email to create the task, (2) delete the attachments added automatically, (3) download the attachments separately from the email, and (4) re-attach them to the note to make it usable. In my opinion, for the email-to-note feature to be a fully functional workflow, I should be able to (1) forward the email and (2) rename the attachments as needed, cutting out the two manual steps in between.
