Meeting notes backlink to calendar event and show on calendar view linked notes
Its good that we can have meeting notes for an external event, but i would like to have more features
- backlink to the calendar event itself
- or show which day or calendar event its related to
- show in the daily jots link to note
- right now on the calendar view there is no indication whether the event have a linked note or not, it would be great if you can see a note is added to that specific event
-
Thanks!

When you click a event in the Calendar and then create a Note from that event, the title of the event becomes the title of the note, which is great.
However, if you could add any date/time information, attendees and notes that are in the event, it would add greater context to the note and save users a step.
This functionality is included with Evernote and is a great value-add.
You are already displaying that information when you click on an event in the Calendar, copying that data over seems like a easy win? -

Joe MergedThanks for providing the ability to link your calendar and an action to create a note from the calendar event. I'm surprised there isn't a backlink automatically added to the note. I'm using outlook and I can see where you've added an offsite/deep link to the actual calender event in Outlook; why not add it into the note as a backlink? This allows you to flip back to the event to get more details on attendees, agenda, etc. for context if needed.

Lucian Admin MergedHey Joe! Please help me clarify this. What link are you suggesting we should add? What should the link point to?

Joe MergedHey Lucian, it should deep link (back link) to the calendar event in Outlook (or whatever calendar is being used). All that's being picked up from the Calendar Event currently is the name of the event. Ideally the user would have a way to click a link in the note that takes them back into that specific event so they could see additional details about the event (agenda, attendees, etc). Or it could pick up all the details (event name, attendees, agenda) in the calendar event and carry them forward into the note when it's created. The latter seems like a waste when a link would allow you to get back to all the detail without having to copy it from one place to another.

Matheus MergedI believe they meant it as a backlink to the actual event. Basically the same link we get when we open the calendar view and click on the link that directs us to the calendar event (GCal or Outlook), but now on the backlinks tab of the note created. I hope I interpreted it right.

Vincent MergedUse Case: Planning holidays or work travels
I normally create a longer blocker in Outlook and I can see it in Amplenote. Then I make a Note for the event to
- add tasks for booking flights, ...
- search for travel dates, if anyone asks, ...
- get an overview of all longer-term planned travels.
Currently:
There is no backlink between the note and the calendar event. So I cannot see the dates associated with the event on the note.
It is very hard to find the calendar event in the calendar.
Feature request:
- See the start and end of the event at the note
- Jump to the event in the calendar view
- (Nice to have: see the content of the event when hovering over the backlink similar to a Rich Foot Note) -

Rick Morton MergedI too would appreciate this. Is there a plug-in that might do this automatically? Either populate the new note with additional information from the meeting event from the calendar, or create at least a backlink to the calendar event so we can reference things like attendees, agenda, document links, etc.

Sean MergedI would love the ability to create notes and link them to calendar items of different names. Sometimes you have meetings created by others that have names that don't match how you would find them later in your notes. I'd love to be able to "link to note" in a calendar item, or backlink from a note to a calendar item. It would also make it easier to keep meetings of different names but for the same projects connected in a way so you can see an overview of all the communications happening.
Bonus if this works with recurring meetings from outlook/gcal. -

BertThis is such a good idea.
Related: I wish EVENTS were a special element-type in Amplenote, like NOTES, TASKS, etc. We could link to them, tag them, two-way sync them back to Google Calendar, etc.
