Faster Select and Unselect All

I'm cleaning up a lot of tags these days. I often get a filter just right and then want to retag all of the notes. There are a couple of UI tweaks that would make it easier/faster.

Currently, to Select All, I have to click the "radio button" on the top note and then scroll to the bottom and select the "radio button" on the bottom note. That wastes time when all I want to do is Select All.
>>>Side note: I can't tell you how many times I've clicked CTRL+A (Windows) trying to select all. YIKES! Not pretty when you do that.

My ideas:
1) Please let me use CTRL+A to select all items in a filtered list. CTRL+A is a standard in most apps.
2) While you are there, why not make that "radio button" (the one that shows how many notes are selected) at the top useful?
a) If no items are selected, upon click, Select All
b) If all items are selected, upon click, UnSelect All
