Customize shortcuts
In some keyboard locales, the app shortcuts override other useful combinations (e.g.:"[" seems to be used to change views, meaning I can't use it to create a task or a link...)
Ideally, we should be able to change the app shortcuts to the ones we prefer.

ThomasKI think this is essential to be able to use the feature "press Ctrl-[ on a selected text" on a german keyboard. Because on german keyboards, for a [, you have to press ALTGR+8. This then results in overwriting the selected text.

DirkSame with me. On the german keyboard typing brackets is a keyboard combination. Using the Website with the iPad keyboard I cannot type an opening bracket, since this combination will toggle the sidebar.

Karel MergedIt would be useful to have customizable keyboard shortcuts, not only because I use an AZERTY keyboard but because I believe everyone has a slightly different workflow and habits.
A lot of applications do this these days, Obsidian has by far the best implementation of this.
It checks for conflicts with existing mappings, allows you to filter by searching for specific keyboard shortcuts etc.
I would also like to suggest the possibility to have different shortcuts on both Mac & Windows because I use both and they can conflict with each other. -

shawnI agree - considering this is a webapp, shortcuts must be customizable as depending on your browser, you may be overriding some shortcut. The fact that it's primarily a web app should make customizing shortcuts a priority.
here's a good example: On windows, my launcher tool, Flow Launcher, uses ctrl+space. That makes it so I cannot use this shortcut in amplenote. It's overridden by my launcher. I'm sure there are lots of examples like this and it really matters because this primarily is a web app and so you're at the whim of whicever browser you're using, or whichever browser you create the app from. Chrome and edge and safarai and firefox, they will all have slightly different shortcuts and each can sort of "step on" the shortcuts that would be so useful in ample note -

Oleh Mergedin english cntrl+O work good and open search panel. but when I change language to ukraine cntrl+O is working global in chrome and just try to open new file.
suggestion is to make my own setting for general shortcuts. because fore me cntrl+q is better for searching.
(I do remaping for keys with AHK from cntrl+q to press cntrl+o but problem with languge distroy this action and just try open new file in browser. in english it works good)
p.s. it's very annoying when function that you use many time per day doesn't work -
