Flexibility to deactivate the automatic popup of Rich Footnotes

Hi I think the Rich Footnotes is a great feature, but the automatic nature is kinda disruptive. I use a note to manage several notes like a Table of Contents. And navigating thru the page/note via cursor can be annoying because of the popups. Can this be changed to a double-click instead?
