Amplecap - default settings and layout
when capturing i'd like to be able to PRESET DEFAULTS for tags and for the kind of capture (screenshot or highlights or fullpage or bookmark) and also the destination (send to amplenote or copy to clipboard) and (new note or choose note, and note body or todo or bullet point)
also ideally the layout would have a COMPACTED VIEW on 1 panel rather than spread out over 2 panels, especially since the current size of the toolbar popup makes the "next" button fall below the screen on my macbook which makes me have to scroll down each time to click it (the developer must have a very large screen not a little macbook)

Lucian AdminHey David! We are fixing the scrolling issue - soon all of the buttons will be clickable without scrolling.
A "compact view" for all of the options is probably not on the table at the moment, given how we've just migrated away from it (for usability reasons).
In the meantime, I'm considering this as a suggestion for adding default values to the parameters. -

CynthiaSI would also like to see a default setup for this. It's a waste of time to have to enter the same info every time I clip something. Thanks!

Anthony G MergedI find on Amplecap that certain selections are very common and automating these selections to a hotkey/shortcut would save quite a bit of time over a long time period.
For instance, I have a watchlist note that I bookmark youtube videos to in order to sort them and watch them another time. However, anytime I want to do this, I have to manually press 5 buttons and type the note title. Having a way to set this process to one of my keyboard macros for the browser extension would be very appreciated!
Other use cases could be having a shortcut to save bookmarks to project specific notes, task domains, latest jots note, etc.
I'm also pretty sure this customizability will enable other power users to think of some better implementations of this feature rather than my simple examples.
