Bullet Threading
This feature would visually connect bullets with lines to show the relationships between parent and child bullets, making it easier to follow the structure of nested ideas.
For example, as shown in the attached image, each sub-bullet (e.g., "Bullet 1.2.1") is connected back to its parent (e.g., "Bullet 1.2") with a gray line. This threading helps in visually distinguishing hierarchical relationships and improves readability, especially for complex notes with multiple nested levels.
The active bullet line represented in green would just be a visual bonus.

Reply to Mike, ideally the completed task should go back to the where it came from. This might be difficult to implement though.
When I clicked on this suggestion, i thought it's about zooming into a particular heading or bullet point, and hiding the rest. Similar to outliners like workflowy. This is incredibly useful for focus zen mode.
Or at least, if there's a way to grey out the other bullet points, to focus on the current section. That would be great. Zen mode.
I like the clean aesthetic of the current bullet implementing. It's not distracting, so despite any changes it should stay that way. -

MikeUnfortunately amplenote is not an outliner. Stick a task somewhere in something resembling your example, then complete it and uncomplete it. It'll end up getting put back at the bottom of the note.
If they were to implement this without respecting hierarchy which is currently not respected it would be somewhat disingenuous.
